Messiah Audition

Well as I've said before this Blogging is all very new.

This past Tuesday I auditioned for Victoria Symphony for their 2010 Messiah. I felt as though the audition went rather well. It was very short notice so I had zero rehearsal time with an accompanist. Bat alas, Wendy Stoffer did a lovely job at the keys. I feel very positive and will continue to better my coloratura.
Next step is learning my part in Cappricio, "Diener #4" for Pacific Opera Victoria. As well get a firm hold on "Ferryman " in Curlew River. ...Oh yes and keep Boheme's "Marcello" on the back burner for a potential Summer program. Signing off........Sam.

Best of the Season to anyone out there.

Awaiting time for Highlands Opera Co.

Well here it is less than a week before potentially auditioning for Highlands Opera program. Feeling good about my rep choices except my English aria. Possibly one of the hardest things to find is an appropriate aria in English for a 30 something baritone. Either the rep is too old a character or from a work that is not performed often. Any ideas?
